Every day we are faced with challenges in our industry. Not only challenges that exist with how the current HVAC landscape is laid out, but challenges for the future. How long can we continue traditional forms of HVAC and when will it be time to switch fully to alternative forms of energy. Alternative forms of energy are what will renew the planet, and they are already being used to an extent by the HVAC industry at large. However, there is a difference between the scale at which the energy is used now and the scale in which it will need to be used in the future.

In the future, there will be much more demand for alternative energy sources because every day that we continue to heat and cool with the technology and techniques of today, the further we go toward permanent damage to the environment. Call it cynical, but we do not see people jumping at the opportunity to change the way in which they operate. Change takes a great deal of money and is always scary not only for companies, but each and every person within that company.

But at a certain point we need to ask ourselves what the cost is for building a better planet. We have been installing furnaces and air conditioners for years and we love what we do. However, it is time to see that there are probably better ways that we could be doing such things. Ways that may cost us more money in the short term, but less money in the long term. Just like with light bulbs, it seemed so expensive to use energy efficient bulbs at first, but now they are everywhere.

The willingness to change

You have to be willing to accept the fact that change is something that has to happen. That no matter what you think, the change is going to be what saves the environment and keeps the earth preserved for future generations. That it is time to look back on the achievements that got HVAC to where it is today, and understand that it is time to once again evolve for the betterment of the planet. And when that time comes, what side will you be on?

We can tell you that we will be on the side of change and on the side of our customers. No matter how scary it is and no matter how much work it will take to adapt to these new changes, we need to understand that the time has come. We are at a crucial point in the world and those that resist the change to green energy are doing way more harm than good. By refusing to take their business to the next step, they are resisting the change that will ultimately save the world. We know what side we are on, what side are you on?
